TERMS & CONDITIONS

Acceptance of these terms and conditions is a condition of booking. Submission by you of a booking is your acknowledgement that you have read, understood and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions.

Agency

“Our World Travel” acts as an agent for airlines and wholesale travel companies and other suppliers providing services, including accommodation and transportation services. “Our World Travel” is not a provider of services and has no responsibility for services provided, or not provided, by any party. No warranty or representation regarding the standard of any service or product is given. All bookings are made subject to the terms and conditions and limitations of liability imposed by those service providers. It is essential that you familiarise yourself with the terms and conditions and limitations of liability of those service providers as you will be bound by them.

If any travel service provider is unable to provide the services which you have purchased from them, your remedy shall lie against the provider and not “Our World Travel”.

Airline Bookings

Airfares quoted are ONLY valid on the date of booking and are subject to change, withdrawal or alteration by airlines without notice, prior to the final ticketing process being completed. Any pre-reserved seating is subject to a fee set by airlines. Individual airlines have policies whereby they make a charge for advance seat selection. Conditions do apply and these can be obtained by contacting our consultants or by contacting the airline direct, via phone or the airline’s web site.

Taxes

Government tax, airport charge, fuel surcharges are current at time of booking but are subject to change without notice.

Airport and departure taxes are included in the airfare or included within the Government taxes or airport charges. Additional taxes may be applicable and can change depending on the airline and is out of OWT’s control.

Credit Cards

You consent to us supplying your billing, payment and identification information to third parties with whom you enter into transactions. We may also provide such personal information to third parties as is required to complete your booking.

You authorise us to disclose your credit card details to, and obtain information from, any financial institution or credit card issuer to verify the credit card and identification details that you provide. You also authorise your credit card issuer or financial institution to verify that the credit card and identification details you have provided to us are accurate.

You authorise us to take steps to confirm that there is sufficient credit on your credit card account to meet likely charges. For any payment by credit card, airline tickets will not be issued until authorisation has been obtained from the relevant card company. You authorise us to charge all fees incurred to the credit card designated by you. If payment is not received from the card issuer or its agents for any reason, you agree to pay us all amounts due on demand. Confirmed bookings are subject to your credit card approval for the transaction. Where your purchase by credit card is not approved, we will attempt to contact you but “Our World Travel” is not responsible for any subsequent non-provision of services in the event we are unable to establish contact with you.

Fees

Credit Card Fees:

Credit card surcharges apply when paying by credit card. If for any reason any travel service provider is unable to provide the services for which you have contracted, your remedy lies against that provider and not against “Our World Travel”. In the event that payment has been made to “Our World Travel” by credit card, you agree that you will not seek to claim back from “Our World Travel” any credit card surcharges.

MasterCard and Visa incur a fee of 1.75%
American Express incur a fee of 2.10%
International Cards incur a fee of 3.30%

Reissue Fee:

If any ticket has been issued that requires a change, for example to a date, a reissue fee will apply, at a fee of $110.00 per change plus any reissue fee payable to the airline.

Deposits

All deposits paid to Our World Travel for any travel arrangements are non-refundable.

Cancellation Fee:

All cancellations are governed by the terms and conditions of the airlines and any other travel provider booked for services. After confirmation, any cancellation of any component of your travel package will incur a 10% per person cancellation fee levied by Our World Travel IN addition to any cancellation fee that may be imposed by the travel provider as laid out in their conditions.

Cancellations by Suppliers:

Any cancellations levied by any supplier, including Force Majeure (Flights, Cruises, Tours as an example) that we have made on your behalf, then those suppliers will determine their policy for refunds or Credits. Our World Travel will retain a reasonable fee for our work performed on your booking and in the case of refund, that reasonable amount will be deducted. Each booking will be assessed at that time to establish a reasonable fee of the work performed however that fee will be no more than 10% of the total paid.

Refund Fee:

Your request for a refund of a booked airfare or any other travel arrangements (you have requested to cancel) is governed by the terms and conditions as determined by those suppliers. Many airfares are non-refundable. Supplier charges for changes and cancellation fees may apply to your particular travel arrangements. Where a refund is applicable, the turnaround time from the date of your request for refund to the date you are provided with your refund may take up to 12 weeks. Please ensure you ask your Consultant to advise what refund is applicable to your booking before payment is made as Our World Travel reserves the right to charge a fee no more than 10% of the amount paid.

Lost Ticket Fee:

The fee incurred is $110.00 per ticket inclusive of GST, plus any airline incurred fees. Tickets misplaced/lost by passenger must be fully paid for even when they have been lodged for a Refund/Lost Ticket Indemnity with the relevant airline. Tickets submitted for refund must not be deducted from or offset against invoices; they will be submitted as per normal refund procedure.

Amendment Fee:

Any amendments will incur a charge of $55.00pp (inclusive of GST for Domestic bookings))and $75 pp for International bookings by Our World Travel in each instance IN addition to any amendment levied by the travel supplier.

Passports

A copy of your passport MUST be provided to your Consultant at the time of any International booking

All individuals departing from Australia must be in the possession of a valid passport. If your passport is due to expire within six (6) months of your return to Australia, then under normal circumstances you should obtain a new passport. However, this is often variable depending on the country you visit.

Please ensure you have a valid Passport and a Visa (as applicable) to the countries you are travelling to. The Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade provides helpful information on applying for or renewing an Australian passport.

Please ensure that you have a valid passport well in advance of travel as either the airline staff or immigration authorities will not allow you to pass through customs and board your flight without this documentation.

Visas

At time of booking please check with your Consultant if a Visa is required for your destination and any other country on your itinerary.

A visa provides you with the authority as a non-citizen to travel to another country.

Visas are obtained from the issuing authority in Australia, usually an embassy. Visa requirements vary both by the country you are travelling to and the current citizenship you hold. Please ensure you check well in advance of your travel dates to allow sufficient processing time as required by the embassy.

Airline staff or immigration authorities may not allow you to pass through customs and board your flight without the appropriate Visa. Even on arrival at any country the Immigration Authorities have the right to refuse entry.

It is your responsibility to ensure you have valid visas and re-entry permits which meet the requirements of immigration and other government authorities. Any fines, penalties, payments and expenditures incurred as a result of such documents not meeting the requirements of those authorities will be your sole responsibility.

Currency

All pricing is reflected in Australian Dollars (AUD) unless otherwise specifically denoted on the screen. Some charges including credit card fees may be in another currency (eg EUR) we will provide an estimate in Australian dollars but the actual amount charged may vary due to differing exchange rates.

Health / Vaccinations

It is your responsibility to ensure that you are aware of any health requirements for your travel destination and to ensure that you carry all necessary vaccination documentation.

Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend that you take out comprehensive travel insurance when making a booking.

Our World Travel, ABN 40 838 209 524 is a distributor of nib Travel Services (Australia) Pty Ltd (nib), ABN 81 115 932 173, AFSL 308461 and receives a commission for nib products purchased through Our World Travel. our World Travel acts as an agent for nib and not as your agent. Our World Travel cannot give advice about nib products, and any factual information provided is not intended to imply a recommendation or opinion about nib products. We do not endorse or recommend any particular travel service provider, nor do we vouch for the accuracy or completeness of the information provided by third parties in relation to their products and services. Information provided is provided in good faith, and is subject to amendment at any time without notice. You should make your own evaluation of the accuracy or completeness of any information, opinion, advice or other content available.

We are not liable for any inconvenience caused or expense incurred as a result of any unsuitability or non-provision of travel services for use in association with other travel services except to the extent that liability in relation to those matters may be imposed on us by legislation that cannot be excluded. Our role in relation to your travel arrangements is limited to facilitating your booking and arranging travel documentation, payments and refunds as applicable.

We do not accept any liability of whatever nature, whether in contract, tort or otherwise, for the acts, omissions or default, whether negligent or otherwise, of third party providers over whom we have no direct control.

In circumstances where liability cannot be excluded, such liability is limited, in each instance, to the value of the purchased travel arrangements.

We accept responsibility for the performance and provision of our services and for the negligence of our employees, strictly on the basis that our liability is limited to, in each instance, the value of the purchased travel arrangements. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we do not accept liability in contract, tort or otherwise for any technical errors, corruption of any data, unauthorised access to your personal data, inaccuracies in information supplied by third parties, or failure by us to complete bookings caused directly or indirectly by force majeure or any other event which is beyond our control which is not preventable by reasonable diligence on our part.

Cancellation due to Error

If we waive, in whole or in part, any rights available to us under these terms and conditions on one occasion, this does not mean that those rights will automatically be waived on any other occasion. If any provision of these terms and conditions are held to be invalid, unenforceable or illegal for any reason, it is to be read down to give it as much effect as possible, or if it is not capable of having any effect at all, it is to be severed from these terms and conditions in which case the remainder of these terms and conditions shall nevertheless continue in full force.
